Oh my god, on the way home the bus driver was whistling. His set list was as follows:
- A variety of Christmas songs all fading into one another in a kind of nightmare montage. It is May.
- ‘If You’re Happy And You Know It’.
- ‘Heads, Shoulders, Knees & Toes’.
- ‘The Wheels On The Bus’.
- ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’.
And then back to the Christmas compilation. Everyone on the bus was holding back laughter, and occasionally one of them would catch my eye and we would exchange an alarmed look. It took all of my gall to not laugh aloud as I thanked the driver on my way off of the bus. By the time I got to my house, my eyes were streaming and I’d given myself hiccups from holding back the laughter.

Seen a lot of things like this about lately and it makes me incredibly sad. People shouldn’t have to reblog stuff like this, it should just be a fucking given that nobody would judge someone for self harm/mental illness. It’s sad that there’s still so much stigma going around that people have to assert that they’re decent and kind and open-minded, rather than it just being taken on faith to begin with. We shouldn’t need to let people know that we’ll never judge them on their personal demons. The world is horrible.
Actually managed to get out of bed at a reasonable time today, so that was encouraging. I tidied my room, cleaned my bathroom from top to bottom, hoovered the floor and washed up all my kitchen things. I award myself 150 points for managing to do all this and it’s not even 2pm yet :D
Now just to somehow find the energy to walk down to Asda because I need fizzy - getting a headache again, booo!
I love that so many conventions are happening this weekend (London MCM, Anime Boston and Anime North to name a few!) cause loads of people on my tumblr dash and twitter feed are gearing up and getting excited to attend and it’s making me even more psyched for the London Comic Con!! I hope everyone going to a con this weekend has such an awesome time; it’s gonna be amazing :D

So the doctor I saw today was a silver fox and I forgot to get him to take my blood pressure because he had twinkly eyes and a reassuring (and very gorgeous) smile. Ah well, I got what I went there for (my prescription)! I went to Asda and picked up my prescription and some bits and pieces to replenish my food cupboard. I ate Babybels for dinner and no one could stop me because I’m a gr0wn up~
Here is a terribly-lit and rather manic photo of me; I’m ecstatic because I finally got around to trying the recent English re-release of Vanilla Coke, and it wasn’t as I predicted (‘FUCKING AWFUL’). It’s just as delicious as the American version, except not as sugary (which I will admit was a disappointment). I’m excited anyway though, cause Vanilla Coke is joint first with Dr Pepper as my favourite fizzy drink! Success!
Looking vair pleased with myself, having completed my last exam of this year! Eek, two years at uni done with, I’m getting scarily close to being a real adult~ now.
Also under that uni hoodie is my pyjama top because even an exam isn’t a good enough reason to get dressed properly.
Got my last exam tomorrow. Thank jaysus for that. Then this literally terrible uni year will be done with and all I’ll have to do is look forward to COMIC CON AHHHH. This time tomorrow I will be a very happy brat indeed.
My Dad just texted me saying him and ‘some other old blokes’ (his mates) had done some singing at the pub, and that he’d specifically chosen a song by The Damned because he knows I like them. Sometimes my Dad is sweet :)
Fucking hate nuisance calls, man. I get them on my phone a lot and this caused me to miss TWO calls from Cyberdog! I checked my voicemails today and called them back and they invited me to a group interview tomorrow; I decided there’s no way I can prepare for an interview and sort out getting to London by 11am tomorrow - I wouldn’t do myself justice, and I don’t want to waste their time!
So they’re going to invite me to the next one they hold! I hope it’s fairly soon! This is like.. Surreal! Cyberdog is joint first with Goretorium as ‘the place I’d most like to work’, so even being offered to attend the first stage of interviews is huge to me! ♥
